TOUR OVERVIEW

  • Visit component sites of the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Site including Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station, Oshino Hakkai, Shiraito Falls, and Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine accompanied by an English-speaking guide on this bus tour. This is the only tour taking participants on a trip around the base of Mt. Fuji, which is difficult for independent travelers to do on their own.
  • The tour will make a special visit to the Fujisan World Heritage Center (South Hall). Participants can enjoy taking a photo while wearing the white mountain garb worn by those climbing Mt. Fuji for mountain worship, and holding a walking stick. (See Remarks 3)
  • Look forward to admiring cherry blossoms at Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine in spring (Late March to Early April) or colorful leaves at Shiraito Falls in autumn (Mid to Late November).
  • Select bento box meal from regular, vegetarian or certified halal.
  • Leaving the tour at Shin-Fuji Station is also possible. This is convenient for those heading to Kyoto or Osaka via Shinkansen.
Depart Tokyo at 7:45am
Duration 11 hours
Required to go Min. 1 pax

Package Inclusions:

  • Round trip tour bus from meet up point (Keio Plaza Hotel Shinjuku).
  • Bento Lunch Meal (drinks not included)
  • National Government Licensed English Guide
  • All activities/visits
    • Mt. Fuji 5th Station – The 5th Station is situated at 2,300 meters (7,546 ft) above sea level and be amazed at spectacular, breathtaking views from above the clouds.
    • Oshino Hakkai – Snowmelt that has sunk into the ground over long years sees daylight again here in the form of pristine fresh water springs. Consisting of 8 springs in total, Oshino Hakkai is a protected natural monument.
    • Shiraito Falls – This picturesque 20 m tall, 200 m wide waterfall is fed by snowmelt flowing down from Mt. Fuji. Here, visitors can walk on the pathway right up to the waterfall basin. In autumn, the colorful leaves that surround the waterfall are a sight not to be missed.
    • Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine – Visit the head shrine of all Sengen and Asama shrines throughout Japan. This unique shrine deifies Mt. Fuji itself, and its okumiya, or inner shrine, is located at the very peak. In spring, views of cherry blossoms with Mt. Fuji in the background can be admired from the shrine.
    • Fujisan World Heritage Center (Shizuoka) – A new facility to be completed in December 2017. Designed in the unique image of Mt. Fuji, a reflection of the building in the shape of the iconic mountain can be seen in the water pool in the garden. The tour will stop to take photographs here. The facility will not be entered.

Exclusion:

  • Drinks

RATES:

Additional Information:

  1. Infant is free of charge.
  2. “Let’s learn about the culture of Mt. Fuji!” The Fujisan World Heritage Center (South Hall), visited as a part of the “Let’s learn about the culture of Mt. Fuji!” campaign, is closed on Feb. 27 and Mar. 27, so the adjacent Fujisan World Heritage Center North Hall (free) will be visited instead on these days. (The North Hall offers free rentals of white mountain garb and walking sticks on Feb. 27 and Mar. 27 as well) The tour will not be cancelled and refunds will not be issued for this reason.
  3. If the Fuji Subaru Line to Mt. Fuji’s 5th station is blocked due to road surface freezing or accidents, the tour will be taken to the highest elevation point possible. No alternative destinations are planned when the tour reaches beyond the 1st station (2nd station or higher). When the tour has to turn back at the 1st station, or when the Fuji Subaru Line is completely blocked, the tour will visit Oishi Park or Fujisan World Heritage Center (North Hall). Please note that an alternative itinerary may also be omitted depending on road conditions.
  4. Time at Shiraito Falls, Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine, and Fujisan World Heritage Center (Shizuoka) may be shortened depending on road conditions, or replaced in the itinerary with one or more of the following: Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine, Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park, Lake Kawaguchi cruise, Lake Kawaguchi Ropeway, Itchiku Kubota Art Museum, etc. However, such changes in the itinerary will not be cause for cancellation of the tour or issuing of refunds. In such cases, the return time may be delayed. (Arrival time at Shinjuku is estimated at around 20:00 or 21:00.)
  5. Due to weather conditions, Mt. Fuji may not be visible even from the base. However, the tour will not be cancelled and refunds will not be given for this reason.
  6. The order of activities and arrival times may differ depending on road conditions and congestion at destinations. Note that these will not be accepted as reasons for requesting booking charge refunds.
  7. Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station is typically 10 to 15 degrees Celsius colder than Tokyo. On tours in autumn and winter, please bring a coat and other warm clothing.
  8. Due to the early sunset, for tours in January through March, and in November and December, the visit to Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine and Fujisan World Heritage Center (Shizuoka) may be changed to Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine or Lake Kawaguchi. Refunds will not be issued in this case.
  9. Arrival time to Shin-Fuji Station and Shinjuku may vary depending on the season and day of the week due to traffic conditions, and may be considerably delayed.
  10. Transportation may be delayed by traffic congestion. Even if you miss your Shinkansen after disembarking at Shin-Fuji Station due to a delay, no refunds will be given. Please ride the next train in the Non-reserved section. If you plan on taking a Shinkansen after the tour ends, please make sure to choose a Shinkansen departing Shin-Fuji Station at 16:30 or later.
  11. Shin-Fuji Station drop-off is possible. If preferred, please request when booking. The bus may not stop by if there are no requests for drop-off here.
  12. Tour ends near Shinjuku Station West Exit.
  13. Vegetarian meals and halal certified meals are available and must be requested at the time of booking. Same-day changes cannot be made.
  14. Tour meet up point at 3F Main Tower, Keio Plaza Hotel Shinjuku. 5 minutes on foot from Shinjuku Station West Exit (JR Lines, Subway), or 1 minute on foot from Tochomae Station B1 Exit (Toei Oedo Line)
